In a world of web 2.0, social media, and 'in-the-cloud' computing, it appears email is still king in the spreading of the brand image/messages. Out of email, Twitter, and Facebook, 93 percent of consumers subscribe to email marketing messages, 38 percent are Facebook fans of brands, and 5 percent follow brands on twitter, according to ExactTarget.
But consumers don't want one or the other. They actually desire the three to work together symbiotically instead of competing with one another for their share of marketing budgets.
Email aggregator services have been around for some time. Now there is one that is an email aggregator that incorporates social networking. Zenbe is a social networking hub. It allows for email to be the central part, giving access to Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, and AOL. Zenbe also allows connection to social networks like Facebook and Twitter, connects with chat services like GTalk, and keeps a calander/task list as well.
